"One day I thought about making a remix to a Michael Jackson song but I needed a simple sound.  I chose a track called Girlfriend and later research revealed it was written by Paul McCartney.  So I memorized the Quincy Jones technique and recreated a similar but different arrangement. Then I memorized Michael's performance and wrote lyrics my voice could work with.  The original was a about a woman cheating on her man with the man who sings the song.  My parody is from the newer generations mind set.  Meaning I'm the guy being cheated on.  I'm not as nice as MJ, and I have options too."
