“Ain’t signing no dotted line less I can identify mine. We ain’t gonna compromise, ain’t no competition,” are lyrics from MaxHeat's second pro solo album. The words aptly characterize M3 Record's attitude respecting the industry and its subjective contracts.
Millennium Music Mission Records severed its relationship with the Word of Mouth Network in July ending a business association that had grown sour to the label’s taste. After careful considerations M3 felt W.O.M. could not live up to the high expectations of the independent label's established and future marketing execution. "They just did not share the mission, vision and primary interest of the M3 brand says M3’s CEO." Once again M3 stands tall and true to what inspired its birth. "In the final days of the beast, a mere child would rise to power and challenge the stranglehold that it has on the world and crush it."
Millennium Music Mission was commissioned to lead the “Millennium Revolution”, establish a brand unparalleled in creativity, and overrun the reigning industry’s regime. M3 concluded that an alliance with the Word of Mouth Network in the short or long haul would be irreparably detrimental to the mission.
Big business always remains true to form in that sales drive everything and everything should be crafted to drive sales. MaXxx stated, "Image is a major key though. You tellin me Pac, Big, Nelly & Snoop's success had little to do with image? Then why is public relations so vital to commercial success or what is the selling angle of hip hop & pop?... image." M3's CEO commented, "Millennium Music Mission is on a mission to reach discerning minds to program in The Music Solution”. The Music Solution, created in comparison & contrasted to popular music, takes music to supreme levels breaking old standards that the big corporations are forcing upon the masses. Many artist are led into corporate slavery groping for the big payday. It’s only a contractual mirage.
M3 and MaxHeat were built and commissioned for war. The Word of Mouth Network sought to dull our blade with a blasé approach to marketing M3 products. Unacceptable!! M3 produces trend setting music. M3 artists are extremelty diverse employing engaging lyrics and some of the most creative production on the planet in. M3 and MaxHeat challenges the industry’s best named artists to prove them false. MaXxx wants to burn you on the track. But M3 knows their best won’t take the challenge. They ain’t got the guts to test their bravado against Maxheat! The industry may have some nice beats but their rappers are crap, if you’ve heard one you’ve heard them all and they’re bringing nothing new to the table. Diddy said if you don’t like his new stuff then say it. Well true to form there’s not much to say. There’s more good to say about the Cleveland Indians and they are 24 games out of the running. There’sMore excitement in the independent realm. The People deserve the opportunity to enjoy emancipated music from producers and rappers that are not stuck in the 80's.
"Yeah I'm a young dude born in New Orleans growin up with out my pops. My uncle C-Murder was like a dad to me, I love that nigga to death. My uncle got a nigga straight. He made me president of TRU Records, which makes me one of the youngest hustlers in the game and the youngest President of a label, Thats How We Rockin."
Wyze Sonz Cartel comprises all artists on the Wyze Sonz imprint working together as a unit. Members of Wyze Sonz Cartel are Lady C., Boss Hogg, Dynamyte, PrymEvyl, and Uniik. Each Cartel member brings something distinct to the collective. For example, Uniik has that soulful voice with a neo-soul style and also has a rough hip hop flow notable amongst emcees from Brooklyn; Boss Hogg and Lady C are our west coast artist; they are definitely painting pictures with their writings on the everyday struggles as ghetto youths trying to excel. Dynamyte is our Jamaican dancehall artist, and lastly, weve PrymEvyl our Nigerian born hip-hop, reggae artist/producer. Although the group is new, their recordings to date are snapping necks from coast to coast. The groups stage performance is always breath-taking; with a hybrid style, lyrical dexterity, and production the group is set to take the industry by surprise. Currently, PrymEvyl and Boss Hogg each have a recording in the market. Look out for Wyze Sonz and MaxHeat collabs soon!!!
Riskay is one of the hottest female rap artists in the South. She hails from the small town of Bartow, FL but is destined to do big things. She was first introduced to the music business by Bigg Baby, a rapper, songwriter, and producer, in 1998. Back then she didn't have much interest in being an artist, but was very enthusiastic about the business side of the music industry.
She later became interested in being an artist when Bigg Baby was working on “Trina’s” previously released album “Diamond Princess.” Bigg Baby had been looking for a female rapper for a long time but could not find any that took rapping seriously. Bigg Baby approached Riskay with the idea of her rapping and she decided to try it out. She began her career as an artist in a group called Blue Chipz now known as County Mobb where she was the only female rapper in the group.
While recording in Orlando, Florida at Clientele Studio’s, Florida rapper and producer White Dawg needed a female feature for his new song “Pop- A-Pill”. This song received tons of radio airplay and spins in the club throughout the entire state of Florida. He liked her sound so much that he asked her to feature on two more songs off his up and coming third release: “Bonified Platinum.” The songs are titled “Bonified” and “I Don’t Need” featuring Slip-N-Slide recording artist Duece Poppi.
Following the success of "Pop-A-Pill", she put out the answer song “Pay Up”, to Youngbloodz single “DAMN,” which had gained her much attention from the Youngbloodz themselves as well as underground music circuits in Georgia and all throughout Florida.
For those who do not know about “Riskay,” they soon will. Her sound is definitely unique and she speaks on topics that all females can relate to no matter where they're from. She plans to wreak havoc on the rap industry by combining dynamic lyrics on top of well-produced tracks. She is currently working on her first debut album titled “Kay-O-tic” set to be released in 2005 and is expected to feature on many more tracks with some of the industry's top artists in the up and coming year. Riskay will definitely give fans of rap music a sound that is compelling and intense so be sure to keep an eye on 'The Drama Queen,' she's definitely making some major moves in front of and behind the scenes!
Today's technology makes it very tempting to add layer upon layer. The side effect is your song or production gets rather dense and cluttered. Sometimes you must step back, reevaluate, and strip it down. Heed the advice of award-winning recording and mixing engineer Ed Cherney (Stones, Clapton, and Raitt): "Listen to what's there, see where the song is, [and] eliminate things to find the heart of the song. Ultimately, mixing is about heart, not equipment. Nobody dances to what kind of gear you used."
A clear mind creates stronger music. Also, take time away. A mix made after ten hours of tracking rarely sounds good to rested ears. Tired ears = bad mix. So, make sure you take a break. And then return to your mix with fresh ears.
